Genius Hour

Recently,  we had our second Genius Hour. The activities varied from writing stories to a collaboration of singing, dancing and music playing. See us talking about our passions this week.

  1. It is taking me a while to settle in to Genius Hour 🙂 For the past three I have done a different activity each week but I think I will continue with my newspaper for the rest of the term My newspaper is called “Vivid” and I think it is going to be quite good. I have already got some really good articles up and ready. I might print it in the same format that I printed my Year Two magazine in, or maybe it will be like a proper newspaper. Either way, I will laminate it and put it in the isolation nook. I will also send a copy down to the office and they can put it on the desk out the front so people can read it when they walk in. I am really excited about it. If you have any ideas for an article than please tell me because I would love to hear your questions, tips, ideas or feedback. Don’t forget that you can enter up to three times in my writing competition. It is due next Friday and the key word is “mystery.” There will be prizes!
    Thanks! @emilyhp5.edublogs.org

    • It took me a while to settle in too, I was a little scared about singing in front of people but I got through it! I love playing the ukulele and singing it’s all I ever do at home 🙂 I’ve been singing since I was 7 and loved being on stage! Keep writing

  2. I think genius hour is a really good idea. I think it’s really fun and I’m really enjoying it. I’m thinking of buying some clay so that i can make a big clay elephant.
